When is the standard digital launch?
IllFonic’s Halloween: The Game has a standard digital launch on 8 September 2026. Steam app 3219630 still showed coming_soon: true with the store label 8 Sep, 2026 on the 6 September 2026 snapshot used for this wiki. That is the date this page treats as the public 1.0 clock. GameRant separately printed 10:00 AM PT / 17:00 UTC as a launch hour. Treat that hour as a third-party clock, not as IllFonic store copy, and keep it in a table instead of collapsing it into the only official time.
Deluxe Early Access is a different milestone. Official edition copy opened Deluxe play on 4 September 2026 at 9:00 AM PT. If a friend is already in a match on the 5th or 6th, they bought Deluxe access, not proof that the standard SKU is live.

| Milestone | Date / clock | Source posture |
|---|---|---|
| Deluxe Early Access | 4 September 2026, 9:00 AM PT | Official edition copy |
| Standard digital | 8 September 2026 | Steam app 3219630 label |
| Third-party hour | 10:00 AM PT / 17:00 UTC | GameRant, not store copy |
| Physical street date | 6 October 2026 | Nighthawk / Dread Central, not IllFonic store HTML |
| This wiki check | 6 September 2026 | Steam Web API snapshot plus official news |
Do not merge those rows. A Deluxe owner can be in Early Access while Steam still counts down to 8 September for the standard package.
Why did some pages say 9 September?
An earlier version of this wiki, and several recap posts, printed 9 September 2026. Steam’s public label on the checked snapshot is 8 September. This page now follows Steam and official launch messaging for the standard digital SKU. If a storefront later moves the date, update the table and lastModified together. Do not silently keep 9 September as a “safe round-up.”
Time zones make the confusion worse. 8 September 10:00 AM PT is already 9 September in parts of Europe and Asia. If you are writing a recap, print the store label and the zone you converted from. A wiki that publishes one calendar day for every country is guessing.
Pair this page with the platform store checklist, the Deluxe edition breakdown, and the launch edition comparison. Those pages keep SKU names attached to dates so a Steam screenshot and a PlayStation concept page are not treated as the same clock.
How do US list prices conflict with the Steam snapshot?
US coverage and official edition marketing use Standard $39.99 and Deluxe $59.99. The Steam Web API snapshot saved in this repo on 6 September 2026 returned $18.49 USD for the base package and $28.25 USD for Deluxe. Those are storefront numbers from that snapshot, not a claim that the US list price changed. Regional Steam prices, discounts, and package IDs move independently of the US marketing list.
| Number | What it is | What it is not |
|---|---|---|
| $39.99 | Widely reported US Standard list | Not the only Steam regional price |
| $59.99 | Widely reported US Deluxe list | Not a promise of every store’s tax-inclusive total |
| $18.49 / $28.25 | This repo’s Steam USD snapshot | Not a reason to overwrite the US list |
| $149.99 Collector | Physical Collector in Nighthawk / Dread Central roundups | Not an IllFonic digital SKU |
If you are buying tonight, open the store you will actually checkout on. Screenshot the package name, the date string, and the price. Do not quote a Discord screenshot of someone else’s region.
How should Australia, New Zealand, and Japan change the date question?
A release date is not universal if a classifier blocks the SKU. The Australian Classification Board refused classification on 14 August 2026, which blocks digital and physical sale in Australia. Official follow-up said New Zealand digital later opened while physical stayed unavailable in the checked roundups. Wikipedia, citing official social posts, records a Japan PS5 CERO cancellation. None of those actions move Steam’s 8 September label for other regions.
Read the Australia classification page before telling an AU player to pre-load. A “released on 8 September” sentence without a region is incomplete.

What should you verify on 6-8 September 2026?
Use first-party tabs in this order: halloweengame.com, Steam app 3219630, then your console store. Community posts can flag a hotfix, but they should not replace those tabs for the date.
Checklist:
- Confirm whether your product page says Deluxe Early Access or standard launch.
- Confirm the printed calendar day and, if shown, the time zone.
- Confirm you are not looking at a physical October 6 listing while asking about digital.
- Confirm Hotfix 1 is installed before treating a crash as a launch-day story. See Early Access Hotfix 1.
- Confirm your country is actually selling the game.
This page will not invent a simultaneous global hour, a Game Pass day-one window, or a secret Standard-player Early Access flag. Those claims are absent from the sources above. Keep the storefront screenshot and check date with every future correction.
